THE POWER LIES WITHIN
|
3.22.08:
- It’s with much regret we announce original drummer Dave Bauer has decided to part ways with the band. Dave joined Pain Link in 2002 and played countless shows, lived through the highs and lows of rock-n-roll, and knocked out three CD’s with us. Dave is a great friend and a great talent. His skills and comradery will certainly be missed. The band would like to wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors.
.
- It’s with much enthusiasm we’d like to announce the newest member of Pain Link. Kevin "Karnage" Coyle is the new monster behind the kit. Kevin has been playing drums for many years and has played drums in several local bands. His playing is intense and will definitely add a new texture to our sound. Some of his influences are: Trym (Zyklon, Emperor, Enslaved), Nicholas Barker (Benediction, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth), Martin Lopez (Opeth, Amon Amarth) Reno H. Kiilerich (Old Man’s Child), Akira Jimbo, Tjodalv, Gerhard Storesund, Horgh, to name just a few. We’re very excited to have Kevin on board and can’t wait for everyone to hear the new lineup.
- Due to the lineup change, the website will be going though some minor changes very soon.
10.22.07:

- Pain Link will be heading into the studio Saturday, August 19th to begin the recording of our new four-song enhanced E.P. This disc will double as a cd-rom that will feature: video, pictures, lyrics, graphics, web-links, etc. We feel the evolution of the band is more apparent than ever with this new material and we cannot wait to deliver what will honestly be the best work this band has ever produced. Future updates will be announced as we progress through the recording process. Thanks to everyone for the continued support. Stick around…the best is yet come!

- Pain Link's first full-length album, The Burden Of Sin, was reviewed in the August 2006 issue of the world renowned, Metal Edge Magazine on newsstands right now. We would like to thank them for the very positive and encouraging review. Fans visiting this website can find the review on Pain Link's Media Page. Thanks again to Metal Edge and all the fans that keep reminding us why we do what we do.
6.08.06:
- At the moment Pain Link is hard at work on the preproduction tracks that will eventually be the new CD. The band plans to offer a new 4 song enhanced EP, meaning that the disk will include a digital video of one of the tracks, and some other cool digital imagery. We are confident that this effort will be by far the best Pain Link release to date. Right now we are taking the time to polish the tracks in order to release the very best material possible. As of July 1st we will be in the recording studio beginning the actual project. Pain Link is still in the Zippo Hot Tour contest, so continue to vote daily. We appreciate the support. We would like to thank our brothers in Retribution for hosting a kick ass album release, and making that show the best it could be….it was a blast. As always, be sure to check our show dates, and come see us live. We have an ALL AGES METAL SHOW planned for Southern Lanes in Alexandria KY that will be a huge event that you don’t want to miss. Stay metal
